Since 2010, Ohio-based singer, guitarist, and guitar instructor Alex Poteet has built a career around live performance and guitar education. His rootsy, blues-influenced sound draws from more than five decades of music, incorporating elements of folk, country, rock, blues, and singer-songwriter traditions alongside influences such as The Beatles, James Taylor, and Jack Johnson.

Known for his smooth, expressive voice and soulful guitar playing, Alex performs in a variety of formats, from solo acoustic and one-man-band performances to acoustic duos and full live trios. His repertoire and arrangements are adaptable to intimate listening rooms, concert stages, festivals, private events, and other live settings.

In addition to performing, Alex provides guitar instruction focused on developing strong fundamentals, musicality, and confidence on the instrument.
